Move over Christmas, the gig season is here! With amazing concert line-ups like Phoenix, Laneway Festival and Bruno Mars to fill up your 2014, most of us would probably have difficulties on choosing clothes to match.

These are probably the top two questions you may be asking yourself:
1.
What
should I wear to a gig?
2.
Do I
want to stand out from others or should I just stick with comfortable clothes?

Question: What would you wear to a gig?
Answer: “I would wear something comfy and light so I can walk around and dance around easily, possibly tank top with a cardigan and jeans with boots!”

Q: Would you wear to stand out or
would you rather wear for comfy?
A: “I would be myself and wear something that I like rather than think about standing out from others.”

And here’s another…

Even if so, individuals have different perspectives on what they are going to wear to a gig. There are no rules, but here are some advices you should take note.
What to wear:
-
Whether or not it is indoor or outdoor,
always bring along an outerwear. It’s going to be chilly when night
time comes.
-
For innerwear, a t-shirt will do, or anything that can seep in the
sweat!
-
Sneakers, or more safe to say, closed-toe shoes. You don’t want to be stepped on, neither do you want to dance with
shoes that will produce ‘hard-core’
cramps.
What not to wear:
-
Huge,
big, headdresses! Gigs = new friendships, but you won’t
gain friendship if you’re blocking their view with head accessories like that!
-
Heels. Be polite. You don’t want to injure
anyone’s toe, would you?
-
Big
chunky clothes. You definitely would want to stay away
from that. I can guarantee you heat stroke (even if there’s no heat).
Here’s what I wore for
2013’s Laneway Festival:
What I wore:
-
Basic
top, to keep the chill at
noon, and to keep me warm at night.
-
Tights, so I won’t get too hot.
-
Chuck
Taylors,
my favourite gig shoes.
Let’s look back to Beyonce’s famous LA concert and to what fans wore for that spectacular event! But hold up, we’re
not talking about any fans, but celebs.
Here we have Victoria
Secret model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, with her friends, keeping it simple yet classy for
the concert.
And here we have Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie and clique, wearing what looks stylish yet easy to
dance around with!
No matter if you wear
for comfy or you wear to stand out, just remember our motto: Wear it like you wear your personality!
And gigs are meant for
you to have fun! So unleash your wild side, grab tickets to your favourite
artists and have a great kick-start to 2014!
